Working with non-profit organizations and cities in the region, Cindy helped move over 14,000 homeless people off the streets and into safe housing. She believes we can end family homelessness by 2025.
4,400 Affordable Homes Being Built For Our Community
Supervisor Chavez was an architect of Measure A, a voter-approved bond that's allocating $950 million to affordable housing -- with 4,400 homes built or in the construction pipeline.
Every Child in San José Now Has Access to Health Insurance
Cindy pushed for the Children’s Health Initiative so every child in San Jose has health insurance. We took President Trump to court -- & WON -- to keep our county hospitals funded.
Holding Rapists Accountable
Cindy worked with District Attorney Jeff Rosen to make Santa Clara County a national model for using DNA evidence to track down rapists by quickly processing rape kits.
